Daimler Trucks North America out of Cleveland, North Carolina, has marked a Freightliner new Cascadia as its 750,000th vehicle produced. During a ceremony at the facility, representatives from United Parcel Service (UPS) were presented with the keys. The plant was acquired in 1989 and currently employees more than 2,200 people. Besides making the Class 8 new Cascadia, they also produce some Western Stars, and Freightliners for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
As technology and the trucking industry further collide, this is a big success for DTNA and the industry.
