Hurricane Dorian is leading a very weary path towards Florida and is bound to make landfall this Labor Day weekend. With the dangers that come with a hurricane, the decision for truckers to keep going can be a dangerous one. The Hours of Service have been suspended in 26 Florida counties and certain regulations have been lifted by the FMCSA for trucks who are providing direct assistance.
Trucks in the surrounding states have had their hours of service waived if they are going to be directly supporting relief efforts. This allows companies to provide assistance and support without violating the rules.
