According to the app GasBuddy, 30.8 percent of Florida’s gas stations are out of fuel as evacuations continue with Hurricane Dorian on its way. In the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area, they are reporting 53 percent of their stations are without gas and Jacksonville has 18 percent without. Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida, has waived trucking regulations and is having fuel trucks escorted to those stations in need.
Anyone in the area who is in need of gas should download the app to find out who does and does not have fuel. Also, gas prices should be between $2.423 and $2.599 per gallon. If anyone is charging more, they should be reported to this hotline at 1.800.966.7226.
