Out of Liberty Lake, Wash., Derek Haupt ad Kristi DeYoung have started Blue Apple Enterprises, an interstate hemp transport business. With trucking and farming in their backgrounds these two did some research, learning about the industries, and found that nobody was hauling hemp beyond Washington’s borders. There are still a lot of laws to learn about and quite a few hoops to jump through, but they are currently able to haul hemp or CBD products as long as they contain .3 percent THC or less. One of the major obstacles they face is that each state has its own laws about hauling hemp and sometimes they have to go the long way around.
