Over 300 OOIDA employees gathering outside the headquarters to pay tribute to Jim Johnston with an unveiling of a memorial plaque. Johnston was the president of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association for over 43 years and was an advocating voice for professional truckers everywhere. The plaque is a bronze bas relief sculpture of Johnston who passed away on January 2018. Also in attendance was the current president of OOIDA and Johnston’s wife, Karen. The OOIDA continues advocating for truckers by following Johnston’s vision.
