Like California’s AB5 law, New Jersey is thinking of following in their footsteps by enacting bills S4204 and A5936. These bills would consider all workers to be employees by enacting the ABC test unless certain factors are established. Owner-operators in California are already talking about selling their trucks or moving out of the state so they don’t lose their businesses.
