Crash Scheme in New Orleans is a New Trend in the Trucking Industry

There is a case in New Orleans being reviewed by the U.S. Attorney showing that five people conspired against tractor-trailers, crashed into them, and settled in court for money, making it all look like an accident. Some in the group where fake witnesses who also schemed with doctors and lawyers who wrote up fake paperwork and gave fake testimonies. This case was also looked at by the FBI and local police who compared it to other similar cases in the area and in other states.

Law enforcement is telling trucking companies and truckers to do their due diligence when it comes to having cameras on trucks and documenting any accident thoroughly. They are also suggesting that they investigate incidents like this further before going for a quick settlement.
