What a Tire Endures Before it Hits the Market

Tires don’t just magically appear at the store, ready to be put on your truck and roll down the road. Engineers and developers put their heads together and dive into designing, developing, and testing new tires. When prototypes are made they are taken out to the Cooper test track and go through some pretty rigorous testing. They put on some heavy miles around the clock and go through an obstacle course that tests the sidewalls, durability, and chunk resistance. After the in-house testing, the tires are sent out to be tested by trucking companies that travel over all types of roads through all types of weather. Start to finish, new tires are a lot of work and you can click the link below to read more about this process.
