A long-haul trucker is asking the government for more protection for the truck drivers who are risking their health and lives during this crisis. Rachelle Tuttle has started a petition and the signatures gathered has reached over 10,000. She’s asking for a hotline for truckers to be opened and informative regarding COVID-19 situations truckers get into because there isn’t a lot of information for them out there. The petition is also asking for full reimbursement of food and lodging if they contract the virus along with sick pay.
