Bills Filed to Prevent Truck Crashes

There was legislation introduced earlier this week that would require large trucks to have automatic braking systems. These systems alert drivers when they are getting close to another vehicle and automatically slow the truck down if the brakes are not engaged. With the hopes that these systems will help deter terrible accidents, there were many people on board. There are already some trucking companies who understand the value behind these safety features and have already installed collision mitigation systems on all their new trucks The other bill introduced would increase minimum insurance truck owners must carry due to inflation and high medical costs.
