A British truck driver was awarded with an East Midlands Ambulance Service Bravery Award for saving a woman’s life. John Rastrick, a truck driver from Chesterfield, was witness to a car crash in front of him where one of the cars burst into flame. Rastrick parked his truck and ran to pull the victim, Pari Mistry, out of the wreckage moments before it was engulfed in flames. Rastrick’s dashcam caught the incident showing what happened and the others who came to help. Mistry is on a long road to recovery, but thanks to Rastrick and the other people who helped, she is alive.
Thank you John Rastrick for your bravery, we appreciate you.
