A first-grade class at Kipp Seek Academy in Newark, New Jersey won $1,000 worth of school supplies for their classroom. Jihad Simmons, a driver for J.B. Hunt, entered into the company’s “Adopt-a-Class” contest and won. Simmons had to write an essay explaining why his daughter’s class deserved to win the prize. Winners are selected by J.B. Hunt’s corporate office, the teachers are asked what they need and then the supplies are delivered by truck.
