Joseph Brown, a professional trucker for Halvor Lines Inc, was given the title of Highway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Association for his heroic act. Brown was in Iowa, headed north on 35 towards Minneapolis when an incredibly windy and rainy storm hit. He couldn’t see what was in front of him so he pulled over and waited a short while for it to clear up a bit. As he safely continued on his way, he noticed a truck on its side. As traffic was flying by, Brown got out of his truck and went to check on the other driver. The other driver was standing up in the cab and had already called emergency services. Brown offered to have him sit in his warm, dry truck and wait for the first responders to arrive.
For his kind and heroic efforts, Brown was recognized by the TCA, given a certificate, patch, lapel pin, and truck decals. Many thanks to Joseph Brown for your courage and kindness. Click the link below to learn more about this.
