There are 23 learning how to drive trucks at the Truck Dynasty Driving Academy and eight of them are women. According to the academy, the number of female students has greatly increased when compared to previous years. It is also more empowering for women to have a woman instructor at the academy who encourages equal pay and respect on the road along with specific safety tips to follow. There are more women joining the trucking industry but, according to the American Trucking Associations, they make up 6.6% of the industry.
