Schwerman Trucking out of Calvert City, Kentucky is donating a truck to Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Illinois. The college’s truck driving coordinator reached out to companies to find a truck for students who are unfamiliar with driving manual transmissions or have physical limitations making manuals a challenge. This new to the school 2014 Freightliner has an automatic transmission and a tanker trailer attached. Students with physical limitations can now be included when learning to drive a big rig.
