College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, is moving towards having a Commercial Driver’s License program. To further support this program the Armstrong family has established the “George P. Armstrong, Jr. Memorial Scholarship,” putting forth a $1,000 annual gift to a student enrolled in the CDL program. Armstrong drove a truck for over 40 years and believed in the power of education, so his family came together to keep that legacy going. The recipient of the scholarship must keep a minimum 2.5 GPA and must submit an essay about their goals as a CDL driver. Click the link below to find out more about this school and scholarship.
