Through a partnership with Daimler Trucks North America and Redding Freightliner, Shasta College out of Redding, California, has received a donated truck. This truck will assist with the Diesel Technology program and help teach students about the technology they will currently see in the trucking industry. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2018, there were over 285,000 diesel technician jobs and over 220,000 heavy vehicle technician jobs available.
