The ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles are working on a fee-based program that further pushes trucking companies to become zero-emission. The proposed fee is $10 per loaded 20-foot equivalent unit or $20 per load at 40-foot equivalent unit. Vehicles running zero-emission and Low-NOx would be exempt from the fee.
