The people calling the shots out there are looking at ways to save our air, and they have their eyes on cars, trucks, and transportation. California is looking for a zero-emissions regulation on vehicles, including trucks, and is recommending manufacturers build more electric models. With trucks making 20% of the emissions in California, the manufacturers are feeling the crunch and being forced to buy more expensive models. There is also the cap-and-trade program, the regulation of fuel suppliers and end goals of zero-emissions within 20 years down the road. It’s going to take a lot of people working together to achieve these goals, but right now it’s not that easy to see those results happening.
