The Shawnee County Health Department of Topeka, Kansas has put out a COVID-19 warning for those who have stopped at the Topeka Service Area along the I-70 Turnpike. The rest area is located at mile marker 188, just east of Topeka, and is accessible going both directions along the I-70 Turnpike. The outbreak has been linked to the food court area and restrooms at this facility between July 2 and July 4, 2020. The Health Department is recommending that you contact your provider if you have visited these areas within the service area and have any COVID-19-like symptoms.
