New York’s Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that COVID-19 checkpoints are going up at key entry points into New York City to further deter the spread of the virus. Those traveling from the 35 states with high outbreaks must fill out the traveler form and quarantine for 14 days upon entering New York City. The city is also working with transportation and tourism companies to make sure travelers are up-to-date on what forms they need to fill out and how the quarantine process works. There will also be digital signage at these points of entry to further extend public awareness.
