There is legislation in the making between Women in Trucking’s President and CEO Ellen Voie and Senator Moran on creating a Women in Trucking Advisory Board with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. This board will have no fewer than seven members to help create equal, balanced, and diverse ideas within the industry. This is another step towards encouraging and supporting women to join and flourish in the trucking industry.
