The Small Business in Transportation Coalition is asking for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to be defunded and replaced. In a letter to the chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation the SBTC gives 25 reasons for Congress to defund the FMCSA and states that they have withheld safety enforcement funds from the states for the past three years. The SBTC is asking Congress to hold the FMCSA accountable for their list of failures, unethical activity, and patterns of fraud.
