The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has issued a 3-month waiver for drivers who have commercial learners permits in response to a possible lack of truck drivers due to the current health crisis. The waiver states that drivers with a CLP can drive a commercial vehicle as long as a driver with a CDL A is in the truck, not just in the passenger seat.
