As a way to help curb the spread of COVID-19, the Government of Canada is now requiring anyone who is entering the country to wear a non-medical mask or face covering. If available, a mask will be provided to those who don’t have one. This goes along with the requirement of self-isolation that most have to now follow when they enter Canada. Truckers who are hauling goods and essentials are currently exempt from the self-isolation requirement only. These orders are put in place to help protect those in Canada who are vulnerable to the spreading virus and not following them can lead to hefty fines and prison time.
