The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration of the DOT has released a final rule date of September 29, 2020, for the new Hours of Service to go into effect. These rules give drivers more flexibility while keeping everyone safe. The new rules have altered for the window of driving during adverse weather conditions, changed the breaks during driving time, and modified the sleeper berth exception.
