The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has extended the national emergency exemption for the hours of service rules through to July 14, 2020. In order to continue the direct support for emergency assistance during this health crisis, the transportation of essentials supplies is still very much a necessity. The three categories remaining and still considered essential include livestock and its feed, medical supplies and equipment, and supplies and equipment to keep communities safe, healthy, and continue preventing the spread of COVID-19.
