Minnesota Rep. Cal Bahr has sent letters to the U.S. Attorney General, U.S. Secretary of Transportation, the Governor of Minnesota, and others regarding the protests blocking Minnesota highways. Lately, protesters have been blocking two of the main highways in the Twin Cities area, Interstates 94 and 35. Bahr, who used to own his own trucking company and is a commercial driver outside of his legislative session, is concerned about the truckers driving those roads as some have already been harmed because of it. He states that officials have allowed protesters to block these interstates which is an illegal act and is asking for the criminal activity to be stopped. He’s also asking for the federal transportation funds to be withheld if protesters are still going to be allowed on the highways. Click the link below to learn more about this.
