FMCSA Issues Declaration of Emergency Extension for States Affected by Fires

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has issued an extension for the State of Emergency Declaration to the states of California, Oregon, and Washington due to the current fires. Those drivers and carriers providing direct assistance to the wildfire affected states are “granted emergency relief from Parts 390 through 399 of Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations except as restricted herein.”

Those who are transporting supplies, food, goods, fuel, and equipment to these areas can now do so in a more timely manner and get relief to these areas quicker. This extension will remain into effect as long as the Emergency Declaration is still on or if October 19, 2020, comes around first. Click the link below to learn more about this.
