U.S. Senators are Fighting Against Higher Truck Insurance

There is a group of U.S. Senators out there that are fighting back against a possible massive increase of required insurance for motor carriers. U.S. Sen. Steve Daines from Montana and six of his colleagues have sent a letter to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation with their response regarding the increase of liability insurance per truck from $750,000 to $2 million.

The letter contains research showing that currently, insurance rates cover 99.4% of crashes. It also states that putting this kind of burden on our essential truck drivers during this pandemic is unnecessary. Click the link below to learn more about this.
