Alabama Trucking has announced that they will be joining others within the industry to fight against truck-only tolls in Rhode Island. ATA’s CEO has promised support and finances to put a stop to this proposed plan put forth by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. It is argued that if Rhode Island goes through with truck-only tolls, then other states will follow suit. The American Trucking Associations’ Litigation Center has launched an initiative to challenge this discriminatory truck-only program and Alabama has jumped on board.
