The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance has set the dates for this year’s International Roadcheck for May 4-6. This Roadcheck is out there to help raise awareness of highway rules, safety regulations, and the North American Standard Inspection Program. Over this time period, commercial vehicle inspectors in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico will be conducting inspections on trucks and their drivers. Some things they will be checking will include the brake systems, lighting, tires, seats, and so much more to ensure maximum safety standards have been followed.
During these inspections, driver’s credentials and logs will also be checked. If vehicles or drivers fail these inspections they will be put out of service. If they pass they will receive a CVSA decal and not re-inspected for a three-month period. Click the link below to learn more.
