During the Harbor Trucking Association DrayTECH event, NEXT Trucking announced that they are opening a new 18-acre drayage yard not too far from where the container ships dock. Their program to help alleviate congestion at the ports is called Relay, and purchasing this new “beachfront” property will aid in Relay’s success. With less congestion at the ports, comes quicker loading times and increased loads for truckers. Drivers working with NEXT are already seeing an increase in income and shippers are seeing an increase in containers pulled.
