Motor Trucks out of Everett, Wash., is being recognized for giving veterans jobs. With a staff of 32, 20 percent of them are veterans. When former Marine Jamin Woody was promoted to service manager and given authority to hire people, he made sure to hire veterans. With this being the start of something important, Motor Trucks still seeks out qualified veterans for their open job positions by using WorkSource Washington and the YesVets program. In 2018, Motor Trucks received the Hire-a-Vet Award presented by the state’s Employment Security Department. Helping veterans find their place in the workforce is one of the many ways we can thank them for what they have done for our county.
