In an industry that moves 70% of freight tonnage across the U.S. and with a revenue that topped $796 billion last year, it’s safe to say that trucking is the backbone of America. Without trucks our supermarket shelves would be empty, hospitals would be short on medical supplies, there would be no mail delivery, and most stores would close. To be fair, it isn’t all about truckers, we also have warehouse workers, secretaries, mechanics, dispatchers, and others who are equally important to get the job done. The trucking industry is a vital cog in our system and we need to make sure it keeps going.
