Over the next four years, the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor on Lake Michigan will be investing $20 million into improvements, expansions, and some new stuff that will help improve its cargo capabilities. They will be adding two new rail yards, more dock, a truck marshaling yard (cell phone lot), and a large lounge for truckers. With around 1,300 truck coming into the port everyday, they are hoping to relieve some congestion by giving the truckers their own spot to park, turn of their engines, and relax for a bit.
