Continental, a manufacturer of premium tires, had the grand opening of its new tire plant in Clinton, Mississippi, last week. During the ceremony, Continental invited around 300 guests and 250 employees to attend. When the new plant, on its 1,000-acre site, reaches full capacity it will employ 2,500 people. Not quite up to speed yet, production will begin in early 2020. This is Continental’s first dedicated commercial tire plant in the world.
