For the past 3 years, the Central Piedmont Community College in Huntersville, North Carolina, has been helping fill the empty seats in the cabs of trucks. The class gives students hundreds of hours of behind-the-wheel training. When the college first started teaching new truckers the classes had 12 students, now they are teaching more than 120 a year.
