Women Truckers are Filling the Gap

Trucking may be the new and popular career for women looking for a change. Within the last decade, the number of women truckers has gone up 68%. According to the American Trucking Associations, there were more than 234,000 women with truck driving jobs just last year. Superior-based Halvor Lines has seen their number of women truckers go from 14 to 39 over a handful of years. Katherine Laursen is one of those Halvor drivers and can’t imagine doing anything else with her life.
