U.S. Rep. Greg Steube, out of Florida, is hoping to change federal regulations for those trucks that are hauling produce. He has brought about the “Freedom from Regulating Edible Supplies and Horticulture Trucking Act” or the FRESH Trucking Act. Coming out of Florida, a citrus-producing state, this new regulation would change the hours of service and break times to make sure truckers are safe and produce doesn’t spoil.
