The Hydrogen Council has put out a new report stating that the cost of hydrogen would reach an equal range with other low-carbon sources. The cost is projected to decrease by up to half when hydrogen production and distribution grow. Putting this all on the fast track would require a large global investment and favorable government policies. With companies like Nikola, Hyundai, and Kenworth all working on hydrogen-powered fuel-cell tractors there is bound to be an acceleration period of getting the infrastructure and technology out there on the market quicker.
