The Colorado Department of Transportation has announced the completion of a truck parking project at two rest areas along US Highway 160. The Sleeping Ute Rest Area in Montezuma County and the Shaw Creek Rest Area in Rio Grande County now have more and improved parking spaces for commercial trucks and oversized recreational vehicles. To make these areas safer, additional work was done including the widening of existing truck parking spaces, enhanced striping, and lighting upgrades.
