Fines Could go up for Truckers Taking the Wrong Routes in Indiana

A proposal has been put out there in Crawfordsville, Indiana that could raise a fine for truckers not using the designated truck routes. The fine could go from a current $100 to a steep $2,500. This all came about because big trucks were leaving yards damaged while attempting to turn around in certain areas not built for them. Current GPS systems take them on these routes that are not built for trucks but if truckers are using a GPS designed for their big rig then there is no problem and they go the way that was built for them.
