Together, Apex Transportation and Kenworth Truck Company are hauling the U.S. Capital Tree to Washington D.C. this year. The People’s Tree and other accompanying trees are being harvested from the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forests in Western Colorado. A Kenworth T680 will be hauling the 56th U.S. Capitol tree, making stops along the way for communities to stop and check it out, and then delivering it to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol building.
