ACT Research has shown that the preliminary orders for Class 8 trucks went up a substantial amount when compared to last year. Orders were at 31,100 in September, an increase of 60% from August and up 145% with a year-ago comparison. Class 5-7 vehicle orders also saw a good increase with a 48% year-ago volume. This is just a preliminary number with the final numbers being published in October. We will take this as a positive sign that the country is coming back around again.
