Starting this week, the Wyoming Department of Transportation is working on more winter truck parking along I-80. This project will bring almost 100 new spaces to both the Fort Steele Rest Area and the Quealy Dome. When winter conditions get bad and I-80 has to be shut down, these new spaces will make sure the truck drivers have a safe place to wait out the storm. This project will also include adding two new truck climbing lanes, one over Halleck Ridge and one between Cooper Cove and Quealy Dome. Click the link below to learn more about this.
