In some parts of the country, winter and all its blustery glory has arrived. There are always tips and tricks from truckers out on the roads but here’s a few more you may not know about. Basic items all truckers should have include winter jackets, fuel additives, and chains (if you’re in a state that requires them), but there are some other items that truckers don’t think of until they actually need them.
- Throwing some kitty litter under your tires is a good and environmentally safe way to add some extra traction.
- Add a putty knife to your tool collection for those times when you have to get under your truck to chisel ice off.
- If the power is out in an area, that means ATMs and cash registers won’t be running. Always carry some cash on you in case you need to buy something and there’s no power to run a transaction.
