- California’s Route 138, or ‘Blood Alley’, runs through the Mojave Desert and has a long history of people being hurt or killed on it.
- Florida’s Interstate 4 runs from Tampa to Daytona Beach and has an average of one death per mile.
- Running U.S. Route 24 from Toledo, Ohio to Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been dubbed “The Killway” with its high accident count.
- Interstate 15 running Las Vegas to Los Angeles is a wide-open space but is heavy on drivers not wearing seatbelts, driving drunk, or distracted.
- U.S. Highway 129 running North Carolina to Tennessee has been named “Tail of the Dragon”. It is a great curvy run for bikers but can be treacherous for big rigs.
