The Confederation Bridge spans eight miles across the Abegweit Passage and is Canada’s longest bridge. It connects Prince Edward Island with New Brunswick and is over ice-covered water at times. On windy days the bridge will be closed to truckers over long periods of time.
The Verranzzano-Narrows Bridges is a suspension bridge connecting Staten Island and Brooklyn in New York City. This double-decker bridge has seven lanes on the upper level and six on the lower level. The elevation and traffic make this bridge a dread for truckers to cross.
