Unfortunately there are a lot of traffic fatalities every year and a percentage of them are truck drivers. The highest rated state for trucker fatalities is North Dakota due to the oil boom it has experienced, along with its wide open spaces, high winds, blowing snow, and slippery roads. Coming in second is Colorado with its treacherous mountain roads, black ice, and high winds. These two are followed by Texas, Wyoming, Alabama, Nebraska, and Oklahoma (in that order) for the worst states.
